Taco Bell is back with a new product called the Quesalupa.
The product is said to be, “basically a cross between a quesadilla and Taco Bell’s signature Chalupa,” featuring “melted pepper jack cheese stuffed inside of a flaky, crispy shell…seasoned ground beef, lettuce, cheddar cheese, reduced-fat sour cream, and tomatoes.”
The Quesalupa is supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread, according to Taco Bell fans.
Nine months later and post-$5-million ad slot, the Quesalupa is being accused of being a ripoff of a taco gobernador (which is a Baja California thing that involves quesadilla or cheese-lined tortilla filled with seafood and salsa). Above is a commercial on the product, which compares it to some of the great items and moments of all-time.
So how do you feel about this one: Ay or Nay on the Quesalupa?
Ha...I was just telling @peahyr how much I fangirled over the commercial. That being said, I haven't tried the Quesalupa yet, but I darn sure want to! :D yeeessss. As for not being a ripoff, I hate to break it to people, but everything is a ripoff of something according to someone somewhere. There is nothing new under the sun...
Take my money!!
@ButterflyBlu I don'y really know what to say about the commercial but I'd totally eat that
