Time to catch em' all Nakama!
Welcome to a part 2 of my anime story. last time I gave you my full story on how I got into anime: make sure you check that out! Now it's time to go into a little bit more detail on all the anime I've seen; at the very least the ones that made an impact.
Best to start from the beginning, time to be the very best like no one was before!
So you want to be a Master?! Pokemon!
Like many of 90's babies I grew up with Pokemon. It's still popular now but it was at it's height in the late 90's. Without even knowing it this was my first anime. To be honest I don't even remember how I got started with this. Who was the one to show me Pokemon? My Mother? My Brother? Myself? Who knows? I suppose it doesn't really matter but think about it; do you know how you started watching? maybe your one of those weirdos who watched Digimon; the question still remains.
Anyway I digress. The point I was trying to make was that I don't no how I got started but it was awesome nonetheless.
The adventures of Ash and Pikachu!
Every morning before school my brother and I would wake up, put on the WB and watch as Ash Ketchem, a young boy from Pallet Town and his Pokemon Pikachu went on to become a Pokemon Master! Of course he never really got there but the adventure was still fun. This was the perfect show for a kid; it taught me so much about friendship and basic human morals. Ash may of been a numskull but he cared about his friends and Pokemon.
Pokemon got me started on the right path to being a good person and being a good friend. It was my first legit anime and although it wasn't the one that made me into an anime addict, It planted the seed that would grow into the anime tree.
Forever and Always!
Of course as a kid I watched the anime and played the games but that didn't last.
I grew up and moved on, trying to hard to be cool and leaving my Pokemon buddies behind. Twas not till High School and the release of both the Nintendo DS and Pokemon Diamond and Pearl did I return to the world of Pokemon.
I suppose it was because of an old friend that played that got me back into Pokemon as well as realizing I don't care what others think I love Pokemon and will play no matter what. I still didn't watch the show, I suppose even then I still felt childish to watch the anime.
It is a different time now and no one will question my love for Pokemon and anime. I will watch the show and play the games and no one will tell me otherwise. As of the writing of this card I am currently re-watching all of Pokemon as Ash and his friends make their way towards the Johto League!
So there you have it Nakama, my Pokemon Story.
One that seems simple but is more complex as I go on.
Do you have a Pokemon story or a story similar with a different anime?
What was your first anime?
My full anime story continues, follow the collection for more.
Thanks for reading everyone and have a great day!
