Difficulty: Easy | Total Time: 30 mins | Makes: 2 to 3 servings Adding a savory sauce full of Asian ingredients to chicken is an easy way to up the flavor without doing a lot of work. Here, a simple mixture of soy sauce, honey, and ginger is warmed in a saucepan. Then chicken thighs or thinly pounded chicken breasts are sautéed until brown, covered with the sauce, and cooked until the sauce has thickened. Serve this quick weeknight meal with steamed veggies and rice. INGREDIENTS 3/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce 1/4 cup honey 1 1/4 teaspoons peeled, grated fresh ginger (from about a 1-1/2-inch piece), grated on the small holes of a box grater 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs Freshly ground black pepper 4 teaspoons vegetable oil 2 medium scallions, thinly sliced
@Tapsamai @kristenadams @robertlam @alise Yes, I am very lucky that it's affordable here. There's actually a huge Japanese shopping center a couple hours away from me (where I get all my supplies for Japanese cuisine). Yep, for the recipe I use, I let it marinate up to two days. The recipe for chicken teriyaki I have is an authentic Japanese recipe, using sake, mirin, and raw cane sugar. It is absolutely amazing.
@alise :D dont be so mean!! I think @robertlam may be right ! chicken wings would go well with it either if you marginate the meat over night ! However I still prefer my chicken wings have to be crispy !! So I would not have it with teryaki sauce :(
Chicken wing??? @roberlam hahaha It would work, but that sounds weird to me though !!
I wonder can i change the breast or thigh with chicken wings? Since I really love teriyaki sauce but as well I love chicken wing! Do you guys think it would work ??
@kristenadams yah it is!! Those step she explains is so clear, and easy to follow. I always though t Chicken teriyaki is hard to make !! But Not at all :)
