There are plenty of natural home remedies for hair removal that can save you money while removing hair naturally without any side effects. These remedies are easy to make, with ingredients that come straight from your kitchen! Remedy #1: Gelatin Peel-Off Face Mask This is one of the best home remedies when it comes to facial hair removal. Ingredients 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin1 1/2 tablespoons milk1-2 drops Lavender essential oil(optional)Popsicle Stick. Direction Mix the ingredients together. Microwave for 10-15 seconds. As soon as the mixture is cool enough to touch, apply it to your skin a popsicle stick. It will set up fairly quickly, so you’ll need to fast about applying it. Wait a couple of minutes until the mask dries, then peel it off. Remedy #2: Tumeric Past Turmeric has been in use for treating skin diseases for centuries in India. In addition to having antibacterial and antiseptic properties, turmeric also removes unwanted hair and inhibits hair growth. While turmeric is effective in the removal of fine hair, it may not remove dense or heavy hair. Ingredients TumericMilk Directions Mix turmeric and milk together until you have a thick paste. I didn’t do exact measurements, but I would say it’s about a 3-1 ratio of turmeric to milk. Spread the paste onto your skin in the same direction of your hair growth and allow it to dry. Use a dry washcloth to scrub your skin in a circular motion and remove the paste. Repeat the treatment every few days or as you see hair growth. After using this remedy for a few months you may notice the hair is finer and takes longer to grow back. NOTE : One word of caution – turmeric will temporarily dye your skin yellow. Once you’ve removed the turmeric paste simply scrub your skin with a little baking soda and soap to remove the yellow tint. You can also lessen the discoloration by dipping a cotton ball in milk and rubbing it wherever you used the paste. Remedy #3: Sugar WAX Sugar wax is very similar to traditional waxing, but without the use of waxing strips. You can use it anywhere you would like to remove hair. You will want to grow hair out to about 1/4 of an inch to ensure that the wax has something to grab hold of. Ingredients 1 cup granulated sugar2 tablespoons water1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juiceCandy thermometer Directions Combine the sugar, water and lemon juice in a small sauce pan. Heat on low until the mixture reaches the “hard ball” stage on your candy thermometer. Make sure not to cook it too long! I made one batch that I cooked just barely too long and by the time it reached room temperature it was rock hard. Remove from heat and let the wax cool to room temperature. Use a spoon to scoop up a bit of the wax and then use your fingers to roll it into a ball. Spread the ball of wax onto clean, dry skin in the same direction of your hair growth. Hold your skin taught, and pull the wax off in the opposite direction of your hair growth. Store the extra wax in a jar and put it in the microwave for a 30 seconds to reheat. Keep in mind, natural home remedies take longer to show results and so a bit of patience is required. But the payoff is that since there are no chemicals in these natural ingredients, there are no side effects either.
