The NBA trade deadline is approaching, and teams have begun to make moves to take their team to the next level in the second half of the season.
The Detroit Pistons acquired Tobias Harris from the Orlando Magic in exchange for Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova.
"This is a move that can be looked at as a long-term move, as one that will fit with our core group of players, and we'll be able to keep them together," Detroit general manager Jeff Bower said.
"I think we're right in striking distance for a playoff spot," Magic GM Rob Hennigan said. "We feel like our team has played well the last few games, and we just have to sustain that momentum and add to that momentum. The goal is to make the playoffs and the goal is to win, and that's what we're trying to do.
Tobias is a gifted small or power forward that can shoot, rebound and put the ball on the floor. At the tender age of 23, he continues to get better. At the moment, Harris is averaging 14 points and 7 rebounds. In the deal, the Magic get a talented point guard in Brandon Jennings who is in the last year of his contract. Ersan also has a very cap friendly deal of 400,000 dollars and is a skilled power forward as well.

Was this a good trade for both teams? Who do you think benefited most from the trade?
