Loving this new method for using blood oranges for cocktails. It's dark maroon color adds just the right intrigue to any drink and its slightly bitter aftertaste goes great with sweeter liquors.
2 oz of Amaretto (or almond liqueur)
fresh blood orange juice
blood orange slice
Pour the amaretto and orange juice into a chilled highball glass with ice cubes.
Garnish with orange slice.
This is a great alternative to the screwdriver, stone sour, harvey wallbanger, etc...
