Since the trade of Marcus Morris, Markieff Morris was a headache for the Phoenix Suns.
It was evident a trade was needed, it was only a matter of when. Morris had very low trade value due to the issues caused in the locker room, but they finally found a suitor in the Washington Wizards.
Will this trade help everyone out in the long run?
Wizards get: Forward Markieff Morris
Suns get: Forward Kris Humphries, center DeJuan Blair, 2016 Washington first-round pick (top-9 protected).
Markieff was very unhappy over the was the Suns dealt his brother, but before that point he proved to be a very productive NBA player. At 6-9, he was able to handle the ball in transition, and knock down threes with ease. He was also a steady defender.
Washington gave up a first round pick for his services, but they needed to add more firepower to their lineup. At the moment, they are underachieving and out of the playoff hunt, but not by much. Last year, Morris averaged 15 points and 6 rebounds a game. If he can regain that form he could help the Wizards make a push for sure.
