Used to love this guy when he was with us....but I'm glad we didn't offer him a large contract.

Check out the condition he was in when he reported to the Red Sox spring training camp. that what you call season-ready?

It was reported that the Red Sox management asked Sandoval to lose weight and even manager John Farrell said Sandoval lost 20 lb back in January.
That sure doesn't look like 20 pounds to me.
But according to Sandoval, he hasn't weighed himself since October. He went on to state that,
“I just do my work, try to do everything I can out there. I don’t weigh at all in the whole offseason. I just try to get better, be in a better position and, like I say, be an athlete.”

Athlete...? Come on Big Panda! You can do better than that!

@ChristopherKenn Or the Giants knew he wasn't worth it!
@mchlyang Great point. If you're surrounded by winners, you never get lazy!
@ChristopherKenn That is also true.......and he might have been more motivated on a team that is about to win the World Series!
@mchlyang heck yea but than again I don't think the giants would allow him to get like that.
@ChristopherKenn Aren't you glad Sandoval passed on signing at $95 million?
