Enlisted for the Military Training
"MBC ‘Feel Good Day’ Reports On Male Stars Enlisting For The Army Soon" The September 2nd episode of MBC ‘Feel Good Day’ not only reported on actor Song Joong Ki who enlisted for the army last month, but also male actors who will be enlisting soon as well. Male stars who were born in 1985, 1986, and 1987 especially are next in line to join the army. Lee Min Ki and Choi Jin Hyuk will enlist next year, while Lee Tae Sung who is currently filming ‘Gold, Appear!’ will enlist after the drama concludes. Park Ki Woong will serve in the Whistle Theatre Group as his national service, under the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency by year-end. Others who are due for enlistment in the coming months includes: Jang Geun Suk, Kim Hyun Joong, Lee Min Ho, Park Yoo Chun (JYJ), Kim Jae Joong (JYJ), Kim Junsu (JYJ), Lee Seung Gi, Choi Daniel, Yoo Ah In, Seo In Guk, and TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho. One of the show’s hosts was curious as to whether numerous overseas fans really make special trips to South Korea just to send off their favourite stars to the army. Another host replied, “They do not just come for that, as its part of the travel package that they brought. They can see stars, and also visit the tourist attractions. Although the PR agents unit have been scrapped, there’s still the Whistle Theatre Group where talented people can put their talents to good use. The Whistle Theatre Group puts on many musicals for the police officers. Lee Je Hoon is one of the recent additions to the Whistle Theatre Group following his enlistment last year, while Park Ki Woong will also be joining him in the near future.” By: Korea Star Daily | KpopFighting.com; Jo Hae Jin Copyright @KpopFighting.com
2 New K-Drama Recommendations
Here are two drama's I've recently started that I highly recommend! [The World of the Married] Main Cast: Kim Hee Ae, Park Hae Joon, Han So Hee Episodes: 16 (1 Hour Episodes, though some are longer) - Currently Airing Rating: 15+ (19+ in South Korea) Genre: Romance, Family, Melodrama, Drama Other Major Tags: Revenge, Infidelity, Doctor, Western Remake Synopsis: Ji Sun Woo is a family medicine doctor. She is married to Lee Tae Oh and they have a son. She seems to have everything, including a successful career and a happy family, but she is betrayed by her husband and others. Meanwhile, Lee Tae Oh dreams of becoming a famous movie director. He runs an entertainment business with the support of his wife Ji Sun Woo. Even though he loves his wife, Lee Tae Oh falls into a dangerous relationship. (Source: AsianWiki) My Thoughts: I am only 15 minutes into the first episode and so far it is good. I decided to start watching this drama because Kim Doyoung (of NCT) recommended it. I would like to note that this drama is not for a younger audience as their are mature scenes. (In fact there was a mature scene in the first 15 minutes.) I ALSO want to say that this is one of the top dramas in Korea right now. It is currently the 3rd highest rated drama in Korean cable TV history beating out POPULAR titles such as Goblin, Reply 1988, Signal, Itaewon Class, and Hotel Del Luna. [Find Me in Your Memory] Main Cast: Moon Ga Young, Kim Dong Wook Episodes: 32 (30 minute episodes) - Currently Airing Rating: 15+ Genre: Romance, Melodrama, Drama Other Major Tags: Hyperthymesia, Memory-loss, Trauma, (Tragedy could probably be added in my opinion), Comedy, (Mytsery could also be added in my opinion) Synopsis: A love story between a man who remembers every second of his life and a woman who forgot her painful past. (Source: Wikipedia) My Thoughts: I am 6 episodes in and its really good so far. Everything is happening at a slow pace right now but I think that's for a reason, it makes it more impactful. I think it's interesting to see Hyperthymesia in this drama because the last time I saw it was in Remember: War of the Son with Yoo Seung Ho and he used his extraordinary memory to solve his father's murder but it came with a price. It's interesting to see Kim Dong Wook's character live a more or less normal life compared to Yoo Seung Ho's. And each episode makes you wonder what will happen next because of the two's past. I definitely recommend checking it out!
