Japan Celebrates Hana Matsuri With Cherry Blossom Treats!
On April 8th, Buddhist temples all over Japan will be celebrating Hana Matsuri, a festival of flowers meant to honor the birth of Buddha with special ceremonies and decorations of colorful lanterns and plenty of flowers - including the famous springtime bud, the cherry blossom - also known as sakura.
Sakura signifies springtime and, when they're in bloom, are often incorporated into several different traditional Japanese treats. However, more and more popular international brands have been coming out with their very own ways to celebrate the season. (With cherry blossom-flavored exclusives. Aww yeah.)
