Let me just say that the good people, here in LA, are LUCKY to have Western Bagel so we can get our fix. Mine: the everything bagel or the poppy seed. Love em both!
So when I found this killer recipe that turns regular butter (that you have sitting in the fridge), into everything-bagel butter--I DIED!

What you need:
1/2 cup salted butter, softened
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
1 1/2 teaspoons sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon dried garlic flakes
1 teaspoon dried onion flakes
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
How to do it:
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly until smooth.
- Place on a piece of plastic wrap, and roll butter into a log.
- Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours.
- Slice and serve.
The trick is to have fresh, soft bagels (not the frozen ones!). Get them sliced and toasted perfectly! Then smear on the everything-bagel butter. You will be in heaven!
