Week 4 Blood and Lymph System
Like I promised today I will be giving you an outline to help detox your blood.
Our blood is vital for the functioning of our organ. It is the blood that is responsible of taking nutrients from organ to organ and removing any harmful toxins. Our body naturally clears toxins from our bodies, but this can sometimes not be enough. That is why adding these few things to your list of food items it can give a boost to our bodies.
The night before going to bed drink a glass of Dandelion tea. The Dandelion tea will help push out any toxins overnight that you could have consumed through out the day.
When you wake up drink 16oz of water. Drinking water when you wake up is a good habit because by drinking water you allow you allow your stomach to start producing stomach acid which will help your body digest your food better.
For breakfast drink another glass of dandelion tea. Along with your tea prepare oatmeal with ground flaxseed. Flaxseeds are a really good source of omega 3 fatty acids which helps your body remove toxins.
For a snack grab an apple
For lunch make yourself a salad with leafy green vegetables kale, spinach, collards and other leafy green vegetables are loaded in antioxidants and can cleanse your entire body. They are also high in fiber which cleans out the digestive tract and aids liver health as well. Top of your salad with an apple cider vinaigrette
For dinner treat yourself to a vegetable soup. Eating soups helps to sooth your stomach after a long day of work.
Through out the day make sure to keep yourself hydrated and you can even pick up a low sodium Vegetable V8 if you want something besides water. You can also add lemon slices to your water to change it up.
At the end of the day drink some chamomile tea to help your body relax and have a nice night rest.
