The ultimate V-8 is when you can lift your shirt and this is what your core looks like. I am talking about the ridiculously chiseled guy in the photo, Nelson Lopes. He's the Portugal fitness model who set up shop as a personal trainer in the UK. I say it like he's the only one. Well, truth be told, is there any other dude that looks like this from Portugal?!
Take a look at this video by one of my favorite YT trainers, Athlean-X.
THE 3 CORE EXERCISES:
The Hanging Cyclone Twist
This lower abs exercise fits perfectly into any home ab workout since it only requires a pullup bar that you can hang in a doorway. Twist your torso and then raise up your lower legs to squeeze the abs and obliques.
The Pivot Reverse Crunch
This is a great lower abs exercise that forces your obliques and core to work together in much the same way as they do on the bar. This is an easy to include home exercise and great for getting that killer 6 pack!
The Plank Pull
This is another crazy six pack carver as it incorporates rotation and transverse abdominus activation for an insane belly burn. Be sure to rotate your trunk as you pull your arm into your side to ignite the lower abs.
FYI, this is not the end-all, be-all card on getting these highly-coveted V-Abs. So, don't get all bent and twisted when I share more cards like this. The point is to get educated and find a variety of ways to target this area, with proper eating.
I'm sure you've heard it said before, and it's true: ABS ARE MADE IN THE KITCHEN!
So, when you're at a point where you are reducing your body percentage, this is a great time to start targeting your abs on a consistent basis. Exercises alone will not SHOW OFF abs. Eat right to reduce the body fat so that your abs can be revealed. The key is to have abs once you reduce your fat percentage.
I am on a mission--who's with me?!?
