I wrote a card yesterday about Michael Phelps staying off booze for more than a year to train for the upcoming 2016 Rio Olympics. If you guys haven't seen it yet, you can check out the card here ---> Michael Phelps - "Staying Off Booze Helps!"
To top it all off, Phelps' sponsor, Under Armour released a new ad starring Michael Phelps himself and his training regime.
You can check out the ad below.
"It's what you do in the dark, that puts you in the light."
You can really tell what Michael went through to become one of the most decorated athletes in the world. Even though the superstar may seem to be living the dream life, it is his training and dedication behind the scene that put him where he is today. And although he has made several mistakes in his life, he has become an inspiration for all as he gets ready for the upcoming Rio Olympics.
I don't know how well he would perform this summer. Thirty is considered "old" in the world of competitive swimming. But I don't think age matters. Just the mere fact that Phelps is coming back to give his 100% effort to swim competitively against the best swimmers in the world is enough to show the world that even the most talented people in the world cannot make it to the top without putting serious work behind the scene. And that is exactly what Michael is doing right now to make a comeback at the age of thirty.
And that is the Michael Phelps we need to celebrate and cheer on.
