A lot of brilliant artists and photographers capture monumental moments- weddings, engagements, the birth of a child. But what about the simple moments in love?
The artist Andrew Hou had a hard time explaining to his wife his love for her. But he did know how to express himself in art, so he created a series of cartoon art where he explains what love really is...
Hou used these drawings to remind his wife of love even when they were apart.
"[Kate] was busy with school and I was busy with work, so we didn't have a lot of time to meet up or even talk on the phone," he said in an interview. "So during work, I'd pretend to be 'working' and create these tiny doodles and send it to her on her cellphone."
Andrew Hou hopes that through his artwork, he'll be able to remind other couples of the simple moments of love. But love is always sharing food in my book too :)
Pretty adorable art if you ask me.
Reminds me to appreciate the little things that others do for me!
