Since the Knicks fired Derek Fisher, the team has been on an epic losing streak.
Current coach Kurt Rambis can't get the team to do anything well. Rising Rookie Kristaps Porzingis is struggling as the toll of an NBA season is not hitting him hard. The pieces added in the off-season are having trouble meshing as well.
From the looks of it, the Knicks have a lot of work to do again this off-season. The first thing to discuss is who will go first: Phil Jackson or Carmelo Anthony.
As we all know, Phil's girlfriend Jeanie Buss is locked up running the Los Angeles Lakers franchise. Also, PJ has been hell bent on his demand that the Knicks run the Triangle offense. The question is: why??? Shouldn't the team run whatever works best for the players they have?
Carmelo has a monster contract and a no trade clause. He has also accepted a new role, and has taken less shots this year, allowing the pieces around him to grow. The fact of the matter is that the Knicks need him to shoot more, because the pieces around him aren't playing well. Is moving Melo the answer? I say no. The answer to this problem is acquiring talent around him.
