It's officially that time where you can start decorating your living space for Spring without feeling like you are jumping the gun! This adorable twig flower pot is a perfect way to give your apartment or house a little more flair for the Spring and Summer seasons. This DIY tutorial comes from the creative people at Nini Makes.
For this project, you will need:
-- A small saw or hedge cutters
-- Craft glue or a hot-glue gun and glue sticks
-- Flower pot
You can find most of these items at a craft store.
Cut the twigs to size.
Take the small saw or hedge cutters and cut the twigs so that they are all roughly the same size. They don't need to be exactly the same size — it actually will look better with the twigs of a few varying sizes.
Tie twine around twigs.
Take two long pieces of twine and place a twig in between the two pieces and tie and knot around the twig. Repeat this process until all of the twigs are tied and secured by the twine.
Cover pot with burlap.
Take a piece of burlap and cut it down so that it will fit around the flower pot with too much excess fabric. Then, use the craft glue or the hot-glue gun to secure the burlap onto the pot. Use caution if you are using a hot-glue gun!
Finish the twig flower pot.
Wrap the tied twigs around the flower pot and tie the twine in a bow, as shown in the picture above.
Fill your twig flower pot with a beautiful flower and enjoy!
