Success: I would like to announce that so far I have lost 3 pounds! I know it could be water weight, but it's nice to see the scale finally move down and not up. I have the same weight for months -- like, exactly the same weight.
Fitness: But I am a few pounds lighter. I have been going to the gym on a daily basis and I am making sure to get in cardio at least three times a week.
Diet: I have tweaked my diet and I am following IIFYM, which has been working GREAT for me. I am more alert, energized, and it feels like I am STUFFING MY FACE, but I am losing weight.
That's how you know you're doing something right: you get to eat more, and you're leaning out.
Struggle: This isn't a struggle per-say, but since I am focused on building muscle, I have increased my protein intake. I am also making sure that protein takes up about 40% of my total macros (protein, fat, carbohydrates). And since I am vegetarian (and I don't use protein powders), I find myself having to eat quite a bit of egg whites to get my adequate protein in.
