The gameplay trailer for Star Wars Battlefront's latest DLC offering looks interesting to everyone who is still playing Battlefront. And I know that sounds kind of ridiculous but since the game came out a couple months ago, there are more titles that are actually worth playing.
It's not that Battlefront is a bad game. It's just that there's hardly anything there. Fly an X-Wing for a while, then you can be a stormtrooper for a minute, and then that's it. There's really nothing more to it (even Finn himself wants more from the game). But it looks like Outer Rim is trying to add a little bit more to the Battlefront formula.
After watching the trailer, you can see that it adds 4 new maps, one new game mode, and two new heroes. The two new heroes are Nien Nunb and Greedo which is cool, I guess. But nothing will ever turn out the way they present it in the trailer.
There's a nice little image of Han and Greedo staring at each other before attacking but since this is a mainly multiplayer game, do you think that any moment will reflect the feelings behind the whole "who shot first" thing among Star Wars fans? I don't think so.
It's nice that there's some DLC for a game I don't plan on playing anymore but I don't know if it's enough to make me want to return to the Star Wars Universe to play standard team deathmatch modes.
