Going to jail.. sucks.
No other way to put it. I doubt anyone looks forward to getting locked up. When faced with the bad news of potentially serving time, people do drastic things.
Some felons go on the run. Some felons go on one last rampage. Today I heard a new response to a potential sentencing, as a felon attempted to sing his way to a lesser sentence.
According to the Ann Arbor News, Taylor was asking for a reduced sentence of 36 months so that he could finish school at Eastern Michigan University.
“”Hello there, your honor. I want to say I’m sorry for the things I’ve done,” he sang. “And I’ll try and be stronger in this life I chose, but I want you to know — that door, I closed.
“And your honor I’m sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry,” he sang before extending the same refrain to the victim and his mother.
This did little to move the judge though, as he was sentenced to two years on the firearms charge and 18 months to 15 years on the illegal imprisonment charge.
Can't knock the guy for trying though, right?
