Greg Miller was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1967. At the age of 19, he moved to New York to attend School of Visual Arts graduating with a BFA in Photography in 1990. Predominantly using an 8x10 view camera, his photography utilizes street photography, found moments and portraiture to capture human relationships and a sense of suspended reality. In 2008, he received a Fellowship in photography from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation. His work has appeared in numerous publications including The New York Times Magazine, New York Magazine, TIME, People, Fortune and LIFE. Since 2001, Greg has taught photography at the International Center of Photography in New York. He conducts several workshops every year and recently joined the faculties of Maine Media Workshops, Julia Dean Photo Workshops and Anderson Ranch. Greg lives in Mansfield Center, Connecticut with his wife and daughter.
