What to Wear to Look Business Casual
If you've ever had an office job, I'm sure you've heard the phrase "business casual" get thrown around. But what does that really mean? Dressing for the workplace can be tricky (especially in the summer months), and looking appropriate for the job is daunting when you aren't given explicit instructions on what to wear. I'll show you how to get past these tricky regulations for dressing, with the guidance of Jessica Alba, who has this style down. Thanks to @LizArnone for the idea. If anyone else has tricky situations for which they don't know what to wear, comment or message me and I'll make a card for you! If you want to wear suit pieces... keep them separate. A full suit isn't business casual, no matter how cute and fashion-forward it is. Keep your suit seperates seperate! A pencil skirt is fine worn with a blouse tucked in or even a cute tee, dressed up with dainty jewelry, and the same goes with trousers. Wide-leg trousers with a blouse and heels make an easy and perfectly appropriate outfit. Similarly, if you have a great blazer, you can use it to dress up denim, make a summery dress or skirt more office-ready, or even wear with casual printed pants. If you want to wear shorts... keep the length to your fingertips (at least). It's hard to avoid shorts in the summer, and certain kinds of shorts are office-appropriate, but the longer, the better. The same goes for short skirts; if they reach your fingertips, they're okay. If you feel awkward about the length of a longer skirt or shorts, balance them out with a sleeveless top. This should go without saying, but denim shorts are too casual for the office, and cutoffs are NEVER business casual. When the weather cools, opaque tights under shorts are another way to make them office-appropriate. If you want to wear denim... stick with darkwash. First of all, don't wear denim to the office on your first day, and check out what other people are wearing; if they say business casual but no one's wearing denim, steer clear. That being said, jeans can be business casual, but you have to keep in mind that you're dressing the denim up, not wearing them as is, no matter how cute or trendy they are. Only wear your pairs that are in the best shape without fraying, fading, rips or patches, and pick a pair that's darkwash or, better yet, black denim. If you want to wear a sleeveless blouse... keep it high-necked. By sleeveless, I'm not calling a strappy cami office-appropriate, unless you can guarantee that you'll never take that blazer or cardigan off all day. A sleeveless blouse is appropriate for the summer, but it's best if it extends to the edge of your shoulders; anything that can qualify as strappy isn't appropriate worn alone. No cleavage should ever be shown at the office, but keep your neckline especially high to balance a sleeveless cut; just below or at your collarbones is ideal, or go super trendy with a turtleneck. All summer... wear linen and cute cotton pants or jumpsuits. Those soft cotton or linen pants that are so comfortable and look like a mix between a pajama pant and trousers? That aren't jeans, aren't quite suit pants? Those are your best friends for summer office casual. Dress them up with blouses and heels or chic flats, pair with a blazer for a non-suit suit, and you'll feel breezy, cool, and work-appropriate. Treat a jumpsuit similarly, layering blouses over strappy jumpsuits or keeping a blazer buttoned over. Or... try a matching top and bottoms over a traditional suit! Matching combos are super cute and a fashion-forward twist on the suit, and can be just as work-appropriate. Try a high-waisted skirt, pants, or culottes, with a matching cropped top, as long as there is no midriff showing. Make sure that not only does the top cover the waistband of the skirt or pants, but gives an extra inch or two of fabric so that if you reach for something, the whole office doesn't see your belly. Some general tips... * Pay attention to what other people are wearing. If your coworkers wear shorts that are shorter than I suggested and are making them look appropriate, you can too. If you see one person wearing the exception and they're the only one, don't join them unless a superior gives you the go-ahead (which is rare). * If you wear something that sounds appropriate on paper but doesn't feel quite right in your office environment, pay attention to what it might be that's making you feel inappropriate. Is the dress too formal? Too casual? Does your skirt feel a little too short compared to everyone else's? Is that top too pilled or worn? Forgive yourself for a mistake, as "business casual" is the vaguest of guidelines, and don't make it again. * Simple heels, blazers, button-up blouses, and classic jewelry are all easy ways to make something look more work-appropriate. If you have a sundress that's modest enough to wear but you want to make it more office-ready, add a blazer or structured jacket and heels.
The Meaning Behind Anime Hair Colors
For the longest time I've always wondered why Sailor Moon's hair is yellow while Sailor Mercury's hair is blue. Initially I thought it represented the planets they're associated with. However, after digging deeper into Japanese animation I found out hair color is frequently used as a mechanism to differentiate character type and personality. Black Characters with black hair usually have a strong sense of justice. They can be friendly and angry at the same time. Despite, their mysterious nature they are loyal and would do anything for their friends. Personality: Traditional, bipolar and a deep thinker. White Most often characters with white hair is either mysterious, ethereal, or old. If the character is a male, he usually have mix feelings and can be an anti-hero on a random good day. Female with white hair tend to be either magical or spiritual. Personality: Strong-willed, creativity and dignified. Grey Characters with grey hair has a mix persona from white and black. They are independent and usually have hidden powers Personality: Calm, modest and problem solvers. Brown This is a common color for the protagonist and often time they are seen as normal. However, you'll be surprise because characters with this hair color have interesting talents despite their boring appearance. Personality: Charming, practical and approachable. Blue Blue hair colored characters are not the type to seek advice but give advice. You may notice they often play the roles of teachers or confidants. They also have hidden supernatural powers. Personality: Smart, introverted, and mature Red Just like the color, characters with red hair are hot blooded. Most of the time they are feisty and adventurous. However, some male characters with red hair are more calm and discipline. Personality: Passionate, aggressive and opinionated Yellow Yellow hair characters have many sides. There are mainly different personalities but one thing that unite them is their positive vibe, stubbornness, high energy. You can call them the life of the party. Personality: Naive, confident, and romantic Green Characters with green hair have a unique energy. They're capable of healing and bring peace to destruction. Which is why the are often sided with the protagonist. Personality: Well-rounded, rejuvenating, and trusthworthy Purple These characters are royal and princess-like. They like standing in the spotlight and most of the time are restless and sometimes moody. Personality: Elegant, strong-willed and passionate. Pink This hair color signifies romance and innocence. Characters with this hair are daydreamers and have great desire to bring positive vibe to others. They are also prone to mask their sadness. Personality: Friendly, youthful, and cheerful

The 3 Countries Where Adele Isn't No.1
To tell you they're sorry for breaking your heart, Adele. WHAT!? Adele didn't achieve world domination. She may be the biggest star in ALMOST every country in the world however three countries seem to disagree. They're too preoccupied with their own music tastes and Adele just isn't one of them. In 29 international markets, Adele managed to rank No.1 in 26 of them which is basically unheard of. She's the No.1 artist in 110 countries on iTunes worldwide except for three. '3' really isn't a magic number for this pop star. Despite her record breaking album '25' : 3 million copies of the album sold in the first week of American sales alone, being the biggest-selling album released since 2011, the most sold album yearly since 2004, and broke records in how quickly her European and North American tours sold out, Adele pretty much wins...99% of the time. Thanks to Fusion.com, data was collected to show that these countries have different chart toppers and their fans wouldn't want it any other way. These countries have another preference... South Korea Why they don't prefer Adele? KPOP! Its the Korean Pop sensation that seems to dominate the music tastes of the country. The singers are hot. The music makes you want to start dancing. The music videos are strangely mesmerizing. And you've never had a party without wanting to scream at the top of your lungs to the clever lyrics that most Americans don't understand (aka Gangnam Style anyone?). Also, one must take into consideration that Koreans chart differently than most other Western countries. They have : domestic album sales, international sales, and a synthesized chart. Fusion.com found that Adele may be winning over their international chart however her streaming and album sales in South Korea are no comparison to the outstanding domestic sales of KPOP within the country. Here are Korean's top albums: - "The Most Beautiful Life," Pt 2 by the Bangtan Boys - "MATRIX" by B.A.P. - "Dear Santa - X Mas Special" by Girls Generation TTS Japan Why they don't prefer Adele? Japanese only track physical sold copies and as of now, Adele has only sold enough to make her the 7th highest album as of Dec. 7, 2015. Japanese also love KPOP but they're not as influential. It's also important to take note that digital downloads in the Japan music market outsell albums by 400% according to Fusion's research. Here are the following albums that have outsold Adele : - "For You" by Infinite - "Chandelier" by Black Number - "Sight of Blue" by Motohiro Hata Greece Why they don't prefer Adele? Blame it on the way they chart. They tracked how many '25' albums were shipped into the country instead of how many albums were sold total. Talk about bizarre. Even with Greece's adoration for American and British music, Adele only hit the No. 2 spot on Greek charts. They may track domestic and foreign music sales however their marks are harshly skewed. Sorry, Adele. The data didn't help you. Here are the albums that topped Adele: - "Ap' To Vorra Mehri to Noto" by Vasilis Karras - "M' Agapouses Ki Anthize" by Eleanora Zouganeli - "Nikos Vertis" by Nikos Vertis So really, other than MAYBE South Korea, Adele has won over everyone except for KPOP fans. There's always next time, Adele.
5 important questions about children's hair
Children's hairs change several times, with the first curls-curls may well turn into straight strands and vice versa. The color and structure will change, but in any case, it is important to provide the right care. The first hairs appear in the child during the prenatal development, closer to the end of the first trimester. Light fluff, which is called lanugo, covers not only the head, but also the entire body of the baby. According to one version, these are some kind of echoes of the past, when the bodies of our ancestors were completely covered with hair, and according to another version - they protect the epidermis of the fetus from drying out, keeping the fatty secretions that produce skin cells. Lanugo is almost completely off the baby body to the last weeks of pregnancy, they remain only on the head. These first hairs are usually deprived of pigment, but it is not uncommon for a baby to be born with dark and even black hair. It depends, as pediatricians say, on the hormonal status of the mother. Anyway, the original fluff completely falls out by 3-5 months (at a speed of up to 300 hairs a day), and real ones are growing to replace it. But very thin hair that will last a child to 2-3 years of age, when the structure of new hair changes again. Children's hair is similar in composition to an adult, more delicate and thin, the follicles are located very close to the epidermis, the cuticle of the hair itself has considerably less layers than that of an adult. All this suggests that children's hair is more susceptible to external factors and easier to fall out and break. The terminal hair, with which the child will live his whole life, grows only during puberty - at the age of 12-14 years and may differ from the early hair in color and structure. WHAT DETERMINES THE COLOR, LENGTH AND HEALTH OF CHILDREN'S HAIR? The fact that the baby was born with lush hair, or almost bald, does not say anything about what will happen to his hair in the future. The condition of the head cover of the fetus is influenced mainly by the state of the mother, her hormones and other factors. The color of the first hairs is regulated by the amount of melanin - the pigment appears in lanugo 4-5 weeks before delivery. "Since the composition of melanin, on which the child's hair depends, is not very stable and can change depending on the changeable hormonal background, only by 2-3 years it will become clear whether the baby will be blond or brunette." As for the length of the hair and the density of the hair, it depends primarily on the genetic predisposition. It is believed that up to 4-5 years of age you should not worry that there are too few hairs on the head, even if it is the head of a future princess. WHEN CAN I CUT MY HAIR? There is still a prejudice that it is impossible to cut the hair of a child until he is one year old. The argument of this superstition is very different, for example: “if you cut the hair of a small child, he will not begin to speak for a long time”, “the energy is concentrated in the hair, if cut, the child will be sick”. Such arguments do not withstand any criticism, however, it is worth saying that up to a year the baby’s hair rarely grows so much that it bothers him and his parents. However, if they still bother you, you can do no harm to your hair or baby by shortening it. Another persistent myth of many centuries constantly raises questions from parents - is it worth shaving a baby’s head well after a year? Supposedly, the newly grown hair will be stronger and healthier. In fact, removing hair, we have no effect on the follicle. From which the next one will grow, thus, shaving will not change the structure and condition of the new hair. HOW AND WHAT TO WASH CHILDREN'S HAIR PROPERLY? In addition, the transitional hair of a child is very delicate and is much more exposed to external effects than adults, terminal hair, the skin of the child’s scalp is more delicate and sensitive. Thus, it is very important to protect the baby's head from exposure to sunlight, dust, cold, aggressive detergents. For washing children's hair, you can use only special children's shampoos, with a level of acid-base balance (pH) from 4 to 6, it is a weakly acidic environment, safe for delicate hair and skin. The minimum content of surfactants in the shampoo is desirable, best of all, if the product is made on a soap basis with the addition of herbs. "Before applying the shampoo on the baby's head, foam it between your palms, do not pour the product directly on the hair. Apply the foam on the head, distribute the hair, and then rinse under running warm running water (you can under the shower) for at least 4-5 minutes." Washing children's hair with detergent should be no more than 1-2 times a week, otherwise you can break their natural protective lubricant. While the hairs are not wet, you should not comb them, and children's hair should dry only in a natural way, without using a hair dryer and other devices. WHAT TO DO WITH MILK CRUSTS? The problem that worries many moms of babies is fat dense crusts that cover part of the head under the hair. The cause of the appearance of gneiss or seborrheic dermatitis is not reliably known, as an option - they appear due to the hyperfunction of the sebaceous glands. As a rule, these crusts of the child do not bother, they are considered a variant of the norm and pass with age without outside intervention. "However, if mom crusts deliver discomfort. You can try to get rid of them. To do this, pediatricians recommend 15-20 minutes before bathing to lubricate the scalp with vegetable oil, and after bathing gently comb with a comb with rounded teeth."
