Jason Momoa's new show on Apple TV+ will cost 15 MILLION DOLLARS PER EPISODE
Jesus H Christ. $15 million per episode is extremely expensive for a new tv series. That's a movie budget in my opinion, so we can expect BIG things for this show. Lately with shows like Netflix's The Crown($10 million/episode) and HBO's Games of Thrones($15 million/episode) holding 9 figure budgets and hollywood style cgi effects, its no wonder that Apple TV+ has to pull out the big stops to compete. So far what we know is that it stars Jason Momoa and Alfie Woodard. It is a futuristic fantasy saga about a world in which people are blind and where sight is so long gone that it's questioned if it even existed. It's goal is to have us question how much of the world is truly visual? “Try to think about the world this way: heard, touched, smelled, sensed. Imagine every human experience available to you — love, joy, discovery, despair, and home — imagine it was all experienced this way … without seeing,” - Jason Momoa told Entertainment weekly. I am for one am really excited about what this series will be presenting. Definitely high expectations for a star-studded cast and budget that big. With these numbers and high quality cgi on TV shows, TV shows are now essentially the same as movies.
