I'm going to be completely honest with you. I don't care about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Splinter or April or anyone involved in this universe. But, I do care about this game. Why? Because Platinum Games developed it. Seriously, that's the only reason.
They consistently make near-perfect (if not actually perfect) character action games. It doesn't matter what world their game exists in because if they work on it, it'll probably be great.
But you probably know this already since they've made games like MadWorld, Bayonetta 1 and 2, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (which isn't a word). They even made a pretty good Legend of Korra game. Oh wait, didn't they also make the only good Transformers game to ever exist?
Like, it seems like they can do no wrong here. So, I don't care that I'll get to fight Bebop and Rocksteady as the titular teenage turtles. I only care about sweet, beautiful, and fun character-action gameplay, my friend. And it will be sweet. Trust me.
I'm so glad TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan will be available on May 24th, 2016.
