Que tal mis amigos!
Places all over the world has popular dishes during certain times of the year. For example during the cold winter times where I live we tend to have heavier warm meals. Then when summer comes we love to have lighter meals. Some treats that we have during the summer we might not have during the winter because they are not in season. Well it's the same in Korea. It is spring time and I thought it would interesting to see what are some popular spring dishes in Korea. You might have seen your favorite Kpop artists enjoying these. *None of these illustrations or videos belong to KpopINT.*

This is a tender octopus that all eight limbs are the same length. It is caught during October so autumn season, but it tastes best in the spring season. "Jukkumi Shabu-shabu: This variety of jukkumi is cooked in a clear vegetable broth for a tender and slightly chewy taste. Knife-cut noodles or dough flakes roughly torn by hand can be added later. The broth is savory, plain, and not too spicy, so the dish can be enjoyed by all" (Korea Tourism Organization, 2015).
This is caught during February. Daege-jjim: The crab is steamed whole and served with rice and melted butter.
The warm spring season will bring many yummy fresh veggies. Some vegetables that are grown during this season are "ssuk (mugwort), gondeurae (cirsium setidens), gosari (bracken), dalle (wild chive), and naengi (shepherd’s purse). These spring greens are packed with nutrition and help make for a well-balanced meal" (Korea Tourism Organization, 2015) During the spring you will see many soups like dodari-ssukguk with these vegetables and you will also see Bibimbap.
