It's the last day on the set and a mini party is thrown between JYPE and your company. Executives from JYPE; including JYP himself, show up to help celebrate the on time shoot completion. Director cuts will be done and finished in the states. Tomorrow the staff has a half day sightseeing trip planned before they head to the airport.
JYP makes his way over to you, “Feeling better, now that all of it is over?”
You smile up at him; he really is a nice man and has done a lot for you and Junho. He could have totally been against the two of you. “Yes sir, life is a lot less stressful now.”
“Totally understood. Thought about what you’re going to do now?”
“No, I was waiting until this project finished. I’ll start looking first thing Monday morning. I can’t laze around too long, it will drive me crazy.”
“I’m the same way,” he claims as he smiles at you. “Why don’t you come to JYPE first thing Monday morning?”
You look up at him in shock and confusion.
“I’ve already been given your resume and a glowing recommendation from your director. Seems he knew you’d be staying. He gave me both of those a couple of weeks ago.”
You look over at the director who raises his glass to you in salute with a wink.
“I’m speechless, thank you. Who would you like me to see?”
“Me, of course. With your skills I'm sure we can find a great place for you, unless you want to remain a gofer?”
“Well, it’s not my life goal,” you laugh.
“What is your life goal?”
“I’d love to eventually become a Production Assistant, maybe one day a Producer.”
He looks hard at you for a few moments, unnerving you.
“Nevermind. Don’t report to me, go straight to HR and start your paperwork. Interview finished,” he states and walks away.
You're still in shock when Junho walks up to you. “What did the big boss want?” he asks as he hands you a drink.
“He just offered me a job at JYPE.” You turn to look at him, “You didn’t have anything to do with that did you?”
“Nope. I’m just as surprised as you are. Did you take it?”
“I guess so. I don’t even know what it is, he simply told me to report to HR on Monday to fill out my paperwork.”
Junho laughs, “Sounds like him. He probably thinks he already told you what it is. He’s always a few steps ahead in thought.”
“Well, I guess you’re going to have to show me how to get there using the public transport.”
“Nonsense, you can carpool with me,” he tells you and wraps you in a congratulatory hug.
“Sure, because idols always go to the office each day.”
He releases you; “Right. Good point. No problem, I’ll ride it with you Monday morning, get you the routes and info. The party’s about wrapped up; you ready to leave all these crazies?”
There’s an unexpected catch in your throat. Even though you thought Michele was your only friend, the thought of never seeing these people again is startling.
“Do we have time for me to say my goodbyes?”
He kisses the top of your nose, “Absolutely. Let’s go.”
You didn’t realize you would cry but after all that the director has done for you, saying goodbye is hard. He made sure that JYP offered you a job, nodding his approval and laughing outright that you weren’t told what your job was.
“Well, you know us old guys; we forget things like details.”
One the way to Junho’s parents, you are able to pull yourself together. By the time you arrive, he has you laughing at family stories. You nervously wipe your sweaty palms on your pants as he comes around to help you out. When you walk in the front door, the two of you are met by beautiful woman. She comes straight over to you and instantly wraps you in a motherly hug.
