Dear Daughter,
'Life for me ain't been no crystal stair', but I'm hoping it will be for you. Know that your self-worth is not measured by the size of your pants or 'if you woke up like this' because at the end of the day, you're fearfully and wonderfully made no matter what a man thinks. Realize that this is your life and although I may persuade you to walk a certain path, the choice is yours. I was once in your shoes and I know how challenging growing up as a woman can be, but believe me -- it's so worth it.
Know that you never have to chase a man and if you find yourself doing so, realize that he is not the man for you. You're the catch, let him chase and pursue you. You can achieve anything and everything you put your mind to. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes so whether you're a size 2 or a size 22, love yourself. You're a phenomenal woman and trust me when I say, it gets better.

With love always,

your mother.
Disclaimer: after checking out the video below I felt compelled to write a letter to my future daughter. check out the video below and I challenge you all to do the same.
