If you were a Mets fan in 2015, last year was a dream come true.
Who would've thought the Mets would make the playoffs, let alone the World Series? Many people expected the Nationals to go all the way last year, but the Mets were dominant down the stretch and nearly won it all, losing in the World Series to the Kansas City Royals.
This year the Mets won't take anyone by surprise. Many people know what they are capable of and will give them their best shot every night out.
Do the Mets have what it takes to go all the way this year?
The Mets were 90-72 last year.
One of the reasons the team was able to make a deep run was an improved offense. The addition of Yoenis Cespesdes down the stretch took things to another level. He's a streaky player, but when he's on, he's a hard player to deal with. The Mets have a solid lineup around him as well. His health is a huge key to their success.
In regards to pitching rotation, they have one of the best in baseball. Harvey, DeGrom Sydnergaard and Matz are probably the best four on a staff we have seen in years. Zach Wheeler is probably the best "5th" guy in baseball. The team could possibly move him to acquire another star hitting prospect soon as well.
I think the teams success hinges on pitching, and possibly nabbing another solid bat. If they can do that, they could really make a push for the World Series again this year.

Do the Mets have what it takes to go all of the way in 2016?

They have a legit shot. They have the best rotation in baseball and have a better team this year. Plus Cespedes all year.
Their starting rotation is definitely one of the best in the league. I feel like it's going to be a tight race between the Giants, Mets, and Cubs.
