As a child, I thought there was nothing more embarrassing than your parents doing something odd that had everyone looking at you funny.
I was wrong. As a young adult, there is nothing more embarrassing then watching a parent conduct in poor behavior in front of their children. It scares me to the think the future of America is in the hands of some people.
Anyway, another emotionally scarring moment for children took place in West Haven this weekend, as parents went off the deep end during an Easter Egg hunt.
The Pez factory organized an event on Easter Sunday to give back to the kids in the community.
The plan was to have staggered start times for different age groups, but that quickly went out the window as adults and children rushed one of the egg fields before the event even started, kicking off a no holds barred battle royal between parents and kids on the field.
Pez General Manager Shawn Peterson told WPIX-TV the crowd “immediately moved to the third field, took over and removed everything well before the activity was to even start.”
“So we started talking to people and say ‘hey this is supposed to start at certain time.’ Well that lasted about a minute and everyone just rushed the field and took everything.” Couldn't these adults show some constraint and set a good example for the kids?

This was pretty embarrassing, don't you think?

Damn, Connecticut. Who knew they were so straight up cold-blooded up there?
@danidee That's just plain savage
@butterflyblu yeah, def an embarrassing moment.. I would've hated to be a parent actually obeying the rules and watching this go down lol
@danidee yeah these parents in CT really went off the deep end over those Easter eggs lol
It happened years ago, when my daughter was small at an egg hunt here. The parents went out during the little kids' hunt (which was a no no)....they were grabbing at the eggs and bypassing the candy. Some of the eggs had numbers for special prizes. Nope, the college that hosted that egg discontinued it years ago too.
