Since I've been in knee-deep in Fallout 4 news and updates, I have seemed to forget about every other game that has ever existed. But it looks like much like Fallout 4, Far Cry Primal is getting a Survival Mode of its own.
Now, I'm not nearly as excited about this news as I am with Fallout's Survival Mode but that's because it takes a lot for me to want to play a Far Cry game these days. I mean, I bought Far Cry 4 on sale a couple of months ago and I still haven't done anything other than leaving that awkward conversation over a meal at the beginning.
But the one thing I do find interesting about the game's Survival Mode is that they're making Permadeath an option for players to turn on or off.
In a short video they released, Ubisoft announced some of the stuff that'll be included in the Survivor Mode and it's basically everything you can expect from a game that puts a mode like this in a game. But if you're interested in a detailed outline of what the Survival Mode will entail, you can check out their blog post here.
It's awesome that this is coming in a free patch instead of paid DLC because if I ever decide to pick this game up (if it's on sale and they'll I'll play 30 minutes of it), I'll be glad to have the Survival Mode already patched in to the game.
Far Cry Primal's Survival Mode will be released on April 12th, 2016.
