Hey guys, back with more baseball news to help prep you for this upcoming MLB season!
The AL East was a mess last year. No one considered any team in the division a contender until a couple last second moves pushed the Blue Jays to the top near the end of the year.
Many of the teams were young, or lacked talent. This offseason, a bunch of teams spent a lot of money to address issues in the lineup. Entering the season is there a clear cut favorite to win the division?
While there isn't a clear cut favorite, I would bet my chips on the Baltimore Orioles coming out on top in 2016.
The Blue Jays have a stellar offense, but have a lot of questions in their pitching rotation. Losing their ace David Price to the Red Sox this off-season was a major blow. They also did nothing to replace his loss. Will their offense be enough? I don't know.
Yankees fans may not want to admit it, but they are in the midst of a rebuilding phase. They have nice young arms in Evoldi and Serverino, but the other arms are aging or have question marks in regards to health. The Yankees also hit alot of home runs last year, but I don't know if they will be able to duplicate that success this year. I think the team is better suited spraying singles and applying pressure with good base running with Gardner and Ellsbury.
The Red Sox as solid, but have a lot of work to do. They have Price, but the staff after him is questionable. They are rolling out a lot of young talent as well. A lot of these guys aren't battle tested, so only time will tell if they can really make an impact on the big league level.
Baltimore is my favorite team of the bunch. They have great coaching and can hurt you in a variety of ways in their lineup. Manny Machado is one of the best young players in baseball. Their arms may not blow you away, but are very solid. If this team is able to add an ace near the trade deadline, watch out, they could really make some noise this year.

Who do you think will win the AL East in 2016?

@edwinthepenguin the pitching was a major factor that made me swing toward Baltimore. Staff is too shaky, I'm surprised they didn't at least add some mid level vets, really all they need with the bats they have

@davidgom I agree, the Yankees do have a great bullpen but if the starters can't give you 5-6 good innings what does it matter? With that being said the Yankees are moving In the right direction and adding building young talent again

@mchylang not really sold on the Yankees this year. Too many old bats that relied on power last year. I think they should ship a couple and acquire young pieces. starlin Castro add was a good one though

@duckthefodgers yeah I think the Red Sox have some nice guys, but like the yanks in transition period. But if Hanley can find his game again things could turn

the blue Jays have the best offense in baseball, all they need is for their starters to go 6 good innings and their bullpen will get them through...
