Need to add some Spring decoration to your home or apartment? This DIY sunflower wreath tutorial is the perfect solution for adding some Spring decorations to your living space. This tutorial comes from the creative people at Grillo Designs.

Materials

For this project, you will need:
-- 1 roll of 10″ Green Poly Burlap
-- 1 roll of 10″ Yellow Poly Burlap
-- 1 roll of 10″ brown Poly Burlap
-- 10″ Wire Wreath Frame
-- 1 sheet of Plastic Stiff Plastic Canvas
-- Yellow and beige pipe cleaners
-- 2 Zip Ties
-- Scissors or rotary knife
You can find all of these items at a craft store.

Cut out the burlap and fold it

Cut the green burlap into a 7" X 12" rectangle. Then, fold the diagonal corners together, as shown in the picture above. These are your petals for your sunflower.

Tie the green petals to the wire frame

Use the yellow pipe cleaners to tie your green petals to the wire frame, as shown in the picture above.

Make the yellow petals

Cut the yellow burlap into the same size rectangle as the green rectangle. Then, fold them into petals the same way you did with the green petals.

Tie the yellow petals around the wire frame

Use some more yellow pipe cleaners to tie the yellow petals around the wire frame, as shown in the picture above.

Start making the center of the sunflower

Take the sheet of stiff plastic canvas and cut it into a circle large enough to fit in the middle of the wire frame. Then, take pieces of beige burlap and string them through the holes in the plastic canvas to make the center for the sunflower.

Continue forming the center of the sunflower

Continue threading the beige burlap through the plastic canvas, as shown in the picture above.

Zip tie the center to the wire frame

Use the zip ties to attach the plastic canvas to the wire frame, as shown in the picture above.

Set up your beautiful sunflower wreath in your living space and enjoy!
