Things To Remember During Your Last Month of College
If you're anything like my best friend from high school, you're graduating college soon.
Congrats, its a huge achievement! College isn't for everyone but if you pulled yourself through it all the way to graduation then you deserves a serious pat on the back.

But you don't care about that right now considering you're probably on the verge of a mental breakdown, n'est pas?

Here are a few things to remember as the year winds down:

1. Your college career does not define you

Who your friends were, what classes you took, your grades. It will all be pretty irrelevant in a few years.
That also goes for your major. Anyone who is good at taking tests and completing assignments can get a major listed on their diploma. It doesn't mean anything. What matters now, is what you do with it. I minored in Spanish but does that mean I can speak any? Barely.
Go find the thing that you rock at, what you love to do, regardless of your major, and DO IT.

2. Most people don't know what they're doing

You're applying to jobs thinking these people are brilliant and will see right through your summer internships and know that you aren't quite qualified...
Wrong. Most people in the work force are still trying to figure things out themselves. We're in a constantly changing world no matter what industry you're in. If you're ready to learn, work hard, and grow - you're pretty qualified.

3. You don't need to have everything figured out

If you're graduating without a solid plan or job prospect, you're not a failure. Things don't always work out with the timing we want.
I worked as an intern for Warner Music before a graduated and even though I loved my team and they valued me, there just wasn't a job opening in the company. I panicked and thought for sure I was going to have to move back to California, a college graduate who couldn't get a job. Turns out, I soon found another opportunity and it all worked out for the better.

4. You're young

I know that we're being flung into adult world, but never forget your youth. Graduating from college doesn't mean you're graduating from fun, creativity, and definitely not from learning.
You've only been on this earth for, what, 25 years at most? Take in the world! Explore, make mistakes, and laugh every day.

5. Dance playlists always help. Always.

Having an emergency pick-me-up playlist is a must as a college graduate. Stress levels are high and a solid 5 minute dance party is the best cure.

Congratulations on making it this far, you can certainly make it a bit farther ;D

If you're already out of college, do you have more words of wisdom to share?
