Recently @cindystran shared her (almost disastrous!) first date with her (now) husband and I wanted to hear some MORE!

Feel free to leave your stories in the comments or make your own card :D

My very first date EVER was my junior year of high school.

Let me start off by saying I had no clue this was a date until I literally got in the car and he said "ready for our date?" We had been friends a long time so I figured this was movies with my guy friend, not a movie date!
This is probably why our relationship was so rocky... He was definitely more into me than I was into him :/

He was a senior at the time so he picked me up and we drove to the movie theatre to see...

Yep, romantic right?

HAHAHAH It's funny now but at the time we were both weirdly embarrassed cause we realized this was NOT a first date movie.
We survived the movie (which still makes me laugh) and got milkshakes at his favorite drive thru.
Then, we drove to the beach that night to just walk around and talk.

If it had just been as friends it would have been great, but I was already worried about how to tell him I didn't want to date him...

Anyway, the movie + milkshakes + beach is totally a good idea as long as, you know, both of you KNOW it is a date.

We broke up a few months later (he went to college and I never felt I had a good time to break up with him) but it was mutual and we're totally on good terms. He actually just got engaged :D

So, do you guys have any memorable first dates?!

ive been single since foreva..馃槀馃槀 no first date yet
@JPBenedetto someone needs to write this into a screenplay and make a movie out of it ASAP!
Yep - He got major points for that! He would later propose only 1 week before finding out if I was going back on the heart-transplant the middle of Michigan Ave in Chicago during an unexpected snow storm. I swear on my bionic heart, it's all true - seems quite the story now that I've written it all down!!!馃槀馃槀馃槄
@JPBenedetto Oh wow! Such an epic first date. Mad props to him for handling the situation beautifully and it's really sweet of him to take care of you until you're able to drive home safely.
On my first date with R (now the hubs), we had a no talking about work or money rule. All he knew was that I was in Public Service and I knew he worked at a hospital. Right after dinner, I had an allergic reaction and broke out into hives. My entire face was covered, swollen, and itchy. I looked like a pink blowfish, my eyes almost swollen shut - totally embarrassed!! We rushed back to his place and as I was exiting his washroom after splashing with cold water, I saw his hospital ID and scrubs hanging. Naturally, I inspected them...Both said,"Dr. Wilco." Whoa, really? Just my luck! It really hit home when he approached me with, "50mg benedryl" in a little plastic medicine cup (not kidding) - straight out of a show, this guy! Then, he "monitored" me until he thought I was ok enough to drive home. I STILL got a kiss goodnight. Most embarrassing date ever...
