Hello! Glad to be doing my first review on the first episode of Super Lovers. I picked to review this anime because I saw a card talking about it and I need more shounen ai in my life. I will just review on the first episode unlike I will with my other review because this will be an fresh look at it unlike with the other anime I will review which i read the anime (the anime is Boku no Hero Acadamia). This review is part of the Spring 2016 Anime! Collection by @hikaymm, which will have a lot more reviews for different animes!
Title: Super Lovers Japanese Title: スーパーラヴァーズ Episodes: 10 Broadcast: Wednesday (at what time I am not sure but on kissanime is says the next sure be upload in 6 days and 22 hours and 32 minutes)
While spending summer with his mother(Haruko), Haru meets Ren, a boy newly adopted by his mother. Getting along with Ren isn't easy as Haru's goal is to "civilize" him by the time summer ends. Their relationship slowly improves as Haru spends more time with Ren and in return Ren steadily warms up to him. Can they really become a "family" at the end of summer?! (Source: myanimelist.net)
Relationship Being that this was my first time exposing myself to the content of this anime, I was scared that it was going to be just like those shounen ai that seem rushed and the relationship between the characters are forced upon you. However that isn't the case. Within one episode, you can tell that the relationship will gradually develop into something beautiful!! There also seem to be a common pain that ties them together, which is why it seems Haru is able to better connect with Ren. In all, I am really looking forward to seeing the wonderful way their relationship develops. Yet, it is only the relationship between the main character that I am looking forward to learn more about. The relationship between Haru and his mother is need of greater explanation. But from the opening, you can easily tell they aren't close to introducing all the characters. Flow One time that did brother me was the speed things was going. I am not sure if it is because the first episode was meant to provide background on the start of their relationship before a time jump (feels like there will be one in the next episode) or something because it seem that it was trying to push so much detail of the beginning stage of their relationship together that it seem sightly rushed. Background (Image and Sound) I can say it was one of the most amazing part of the anime. The images were beautiful and they did a great job with the background noise. All I have to see is that you have to see it for yourself. Overall Overall, it seems that this is an anime that will keep you coming back for more. Only terrible thing I can see coming from this anime is that I am going to go through a lot of tissues because I can tell from that ending after the credits that I will be experiencing a lot of feels. Oh well!!! It's going to be worth it!
