Weekend Facial Detox Regimen
Despite the inconsistency of my sleeping schedule I always wakeup by sunrise. Typically, around 6:30 - 7am. My circadian clock just works that way. Since I was up earlier I wanted to do a mini pick me up session! I was out in the sun the entire day yesterday, so I gathered my usual after-sun care kit.
Clay Mask (T-zone Area) Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask (Other areas) Derma Lift Freshderm Green Clay Mask Toner Thayers Witch Hazel Aloe Vera Rose Mist MoisturizerInnisfree Aloe Revital Soothing Gel
Note: normally, it's better to do this during the evening to let your skin repair itself while your body is at rest.
I have combination skin so I use two mask for different areas. The super volcanic pore clay mask is made for deep cleansing the pores. It absorbs all the sebum, oil and gunk from your skin. I only use this on my t-zone (nose, forehead, and chin area). Using it on my entire face would be too drying. Note: This clay mask looses moisture overtime and you would most have a hard time scrapping the mask with your finger. What I like to do is use my toner spray and spritz it 1-2 times to smoothen the mask.
Unlike the pore clay mask, this green clay mask is in liquid form. The gel-like texture dries into a mask after 10-15 minutes. After washing the mask off I would apply aloe vera gel to my entire face. This method is probably best for combination-oily skin. If you have dry skin I do not recommend using clay mask after the sun because it will irritate your skin!

I can see why you wouldn't use the clay mask for all over the face, and yes I avoid that mask too because of my dry skin, but those with oily skin would love it!!

I'm guilty of using masks all over my face even if they will be drying, haha!!! I just love the feel of masks so much. I'll try your way next :)
