Heh guys! So a big change I made in my life was pretty much my whole life-style! I became a vegan. It's been going REALLY well so far and I can't wait to see what else I can do concerning recipes!
I LOVE to cook so it's been a very exciting time for me and a bit challenging. I can only way so much with this diet and I'm allergic to nuts. That part sucks because nuts are like the "go-to" for protein in the vegan diet so I have had to get very creative! I've been eating a lot of beans, tofu, and peanut butter as my protein, along with a crap ton of greens! And no, peanuts aren't a nut. :D To add on to my workouts everyday, things are looking up! What are YOUR thoughts on vegan? Tag any friends that you know are vegan! @maddie27 @TessStevens @alywoah @nicolejb @ercurrent @danidee @shannonl5 @marshalledgar
@buddyesd yeah it's really yummy! I def recommend them. They freeze ok too @alywoah yeah some stuff is cheap for sure but I rely on eggs too much to go all the way I think
Yeah, vegan is definitely expensive @shannonl5. @Buddyesd vegetarians can eat eggs, cheese, and milk. Veganism excludes those foods
Nice! I have been vegetarian for about 2 months now. I am totally cool with the vegan lifestyle, but not sure it's something I'd be interested in doing. Were you vegetarian before going vegan?
Woah good for you!
@buddyesd rice is for sure allowed! I probably wouldn't go full vegan because it's kind of expensive (at least where I live right now) but I do eat a lot of vegan meals just because they happen to be things I like. And beans actually have a lot of protein so rice and beans are always a good choice :D @felicityautumn lentils have a lot of protein! (1 cup = 18 grams) plus they've got iron! I've made these a few times: http://gourmandelle.com/amaranth-patties-chiftelute-de-amaranth/ and they're pretty tasty. I skip the onion and I add a few seasonings (tumeric, cumin, and paprika usually).
