The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die is probably one of the longest band names I've ever encountered as well as one of my favorite bands. I recently got to see this band play with Into It. Over It with a close friend of mine, who was leaving town the next day.
So when they started playing this song, I couldn't help but feel like fate or something else was reaching out to me and trying to tell me that I'd need to listen to this song again in the near future. It's a been a couple days since they've left and I miss them dearly but I'm glad I have this song to listen to when I feel a little more alone than I'm used to feeling.
Everyone's got a friend, romantic or otherwise, that they miss. A friend who left town to pursue a job or a dream or school, it doesn't matter. We all still miss them the same. And when it gets tough and they aren't answering their phone and you feel like bridges have burnt accidentally, it's good to listen to a song that's all about that feeling of missing someone you hope -- but don't know if -- you'll see them again.
Pack your seats high, saying goodbye to your close friends. Making some promises like “I’ll see you again.” So when will I see you again? I know a few chords that could make you miss me. They ring and decay in this garage every few days. Just trying to figure out this beat. So if you want to come back east, then maybe you can help me find it.
