Kodomo no Jikan This was a series I could only describe as a train wreck, you don't want to see it but can't look away. The series revolves around a grade school teacher named Daisuke Aoki, whose main problem is that one of his students, Rin Kokonoe, has a crush on him. It caught me off guard for 2 reasons, 1) I saw the unedited version & 2) I didn't realize the drastic culture differences that were portrayed in the show. I won't go any deeper into the story to avoid spoilers, but watch at your own risk. Yes, the quote on the second card is the actual subtitles.
Yosuga no Sora This one started off like a normal slice of life, maybe harem, show. It ended quite different from anything I expected. Haruka Kasugano and his twin sister Sora have lost both their parents in an accident, and with them all their support. They decide to move out of the city to the rural town where they once spent summers with their late grandfather. At first everything seems familiar and peaceful, but changes come as Haruka starts to remember things from his youth. Again, it was mostly due to culture differences, ie: things US society says you can't show/do. After spending a little time, I have to admit it was a good series & I have watched it a couple times.
