Everyday Life in Latin America During the 40s-50s
I've always been fascinated with images that tell us about life during a certain era. Sometimes you realize, the way people used to love, dance, play, and live -- isn't as different as we do today.

Let's go back in time...

MEXICO

This image was submitted by Keith Bough. The photograph was taken by his grandfather during the 1950s in Mexico City, Mexico.

PUERTO RICO

The beautiful piraguas truck in Yauco, Puerto Rico in 1942.

CUBA

This photo was taken in Havana Cuba in 1950. This is how the city looked before the embargo.

EL SALVADOR

Photo taken in El Salvador, 1959. Photo by Michael Garman.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

This is in El Conde Street, Santo Domingo, Domincan Republic in 1940.

GUATEMALA

This photo was taken in Sexta Avenida, Guatemala around 1950.

ECUADOR
