You didn't read it wrong. Everyone knows how to use this beauty staple to for sleek hair, but not everyone realize the tool can do more. With the proper styling technique your hair can get curls, spirals, and waves.
To Create soft curls similar to curling iron: Clasp a section of hair right above your ear, wrap the hair around your iron, and slowly glide through the section. Tip: Hold the flat iron upside down as seen above, to create a smoother finish.
For the model-off-duty waves: Follow the previous method but this time hold your flat iron upright. Sandwich a section of hair, slightly twist it and shift your flat iron diagonally until your reach the ends.
Tousle Waves: Gently clasp a section of hair and mimic a "c" shape as you work your way down. Move quickly to avoid dents.
Defined Beach Waves: Braid your hair as usual and run the flat iron down your braid to create waves. Usually 3-4 braids can give your hair more volume. Play around the quantity and see which one you like best.
Soft Beach Waves: Technique is the same as above but this time you are twist your hair instead of braiding.
Spiral Curls: For those of you who have a hard time hair hold curls, try this trick! The smaller the roller the more define your curls will be after foiling it.
Finger Waves: This one might be hair doing on yourself but you can always ask a friend or sister to help you with this.
Bombshell Curls: The trick hair is section your hair to create more definite "S" curls.
