The Devs Behind Bastion and Transistor Reveal Their Next Game, Pyre
There's no denying the fact that both Bastion and Transistor were/are amazing indie titles. That being said, any time Supergiant Games decides to announce a new title or reveal what they've been working on, gamers all over the place are probably willing to listen. Or in this case, watch.
There's already so much to like about this game even though there's barely any gameplay in it. And there's also something awesome about the fact that Supergiant is consistently putting out interesting original games every couple years or so. It's honestly inspiring.
The Reveal Trailer has everything you expect from a Supergiant title. There's an art style that's unique, a cast of characters that look interesting, an isometric view, and there's a great soundtrack. While all of Supergiant's games are stellar from a gameplay and mechanical perspective, they're also known for the music they include in their games.
Bastion nearly blew everyone's minds when that game first came out. And one of my good friends ended up buying/downloading the soundtrack so we could listen to it during our weekly board game nights. And it looks like Pyre will follow that trend.
The end of the trailer says that the game is slated for a 2017 release date and I hope to hear more from them soon. Are you guys as hype for this game as I am? Let me know in the comments!
