This off season, everyone was mentioning Harvey and DeGrom as the Mets pitchers to nab in fantasy drafts.
Everyone, except me. I told people to sit on Sydnergaard, as he would be the best value pick out of the bunch. In the early part of the season, my bold claim has been spot on, as Noah has been lights out in the first two weeks.
Through three starts, the second-year right-hander for the New York Mets has averaged 98.3 mph on his fastball -- that's up from the 97.0 mph he averaged as a rookie. In Monday's 5-1 win against the Phillies he hit 100 mph 18 times.
Right now he is 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA and 29 strikeouts. With the Braves, Reds and Padres on deck next, he could continue to dominate the league.
