I've gotten some new freelance opportunities as of late, and have come into some unexpected funds. Of course the frugal thing to do would be to hoard this money and save it for a rainy day, but I of course went online to order a couple of pairs of shoes.
I haven't purchased anything new for myself in nearly a month, which is a really good thing for me. Honestly, I have a shopping problem. I love spending money and why not?
I'm young and I don't have anyone to support so being broke is kind of like a hobby. I honestly, spend more money on shoes than I do on food, and that doesn't make me feel bad.
I've written about shoes before, and how people have shoe shamed me, because they believe I should be spending my hard earned freelance dollars on something more "important", or saving for something more "substantial".
Last night, I found an incredible deal on two pairs of vintage Manolo Blahniks. They are my shoe weakness. I love Christian Louboutin as well, but they just never go on sale, no matter how many seasons removed.
I bought one pair for play, and another for work.
Anyway, here they are:
They're currently being shipped, but they're Pink Ciuzzosa Pointed Toe Pumps from Manolo Blahnik.
The original product description goes a little something like this: Featuring uppers entirely lined with fuchsia sequins, the classic pump gets a daring update. These are perfect for an evening function and leather lined uppers enable comfortable wear. Retail price is $575.
I won't tell you how much I paid, because it might incite a riot, but I may write a card about where I find my designer shoes for a steep discount! Let me know in the comments if you'd be interested.
The second pair is a straight up callback to the '90's a vintage pair of Manolo Blahnik Strappy sandals. I know that they may seem a little much, but I couldn't stop myself. I was picturing beach front date night or something like that. I do live in California after all. Retail price was 400 in 1998.
Who am I kidding?
