Many females have the issue of squatting but not adequately engaging their glutes during the exercise. For maximal glute growth it can be extremely important for athletes to do glute activation drills during their warmup prior to squatting and deadlifting. Exercises like glute bridges and banded walks are great for "waking up" the glute muscles and warming up your hips to prevent injury.
