Sending warm thoughts to everyone who was involved in this tragedy.
It's hard to say what went wrong in this situation, thought keyboard warriors will be quick to say that everyone should have jumped sooner. If you watch carefully, there are no jump cuts from :22 to :57 when the ship finally capsizes. Before this, the boat was listing for quite a while, so there was no reason for people to believe that it would capsize so quickly, otherwise an evacuation of the ship would have occurred before it became impossible. Sadly, 3 people lost their lives in this event. The rest waited in the water for just under an hour before being rescued by other boats.
In sea emergencies, it's important to give everyone directions & to stick together - acting alone is going to cause more casualties than sticking together & following direction!
Best wishes to everyone, and stay safe out there!
