What Is With All These LINES?!

It seems like every day there are new body and beauty trends in the Korean entertainment industry.

Honey thighs, chocolate abs, proportions, proportions, proportions.

One thing Korean entertainment is consistently obsessed with, though, are body lines.

This is for voluptuous ladies. Women who have some curves! That means hips and breast and the whole nine yards!

An X-Line is a Korean term for a certain hip waist ratio that results in an hourglass figure. Krystal is the main example of an X line because of her long limbs and torso.

Koreans often use this term to describe a sharp and narrow jaw line. Lots of idols get surgery to have this sharp jaw!

and then there are the bagels...

Bagel (Ladies)

Bagel for girls is made of the words "Baby" and "Glamorous". It means someone with a baby face with a voluptuous body.

Bagel (Gentlemen)

Bagel for men is made up of the words "Baby" and "Gladiator". It means a baby faced man with a powerful muscular body!

What do you think of all of these beauty standards? How do people survive with all these labels?

I honestly do not know how they do it. Every time I try to lose weight I end up lasting one day and then I end up eating something sweet the very next day. Haha! They really need to lighten up their standards though. It makes me feel sad for the idols that they work so hard all of the time for their music and whatnot, and then many of them still feel that must work out for hours and eat so little.
if I were a line I would be an o line.....round everywhere!!! lol
i think its fine to recognize and admire body shapes but i think idols are under way too much pressure to look the way they do
Bagel for guys: me: do you mean, " Kim Minseok " ?
bagels are yummy. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

How To Learn A New Language At Home
I've been trying to improve my French recently, and came across these awesome YouTubers called DamonandJo. They have self-taught themselves nearly 6 languages! I believe they speak French, Spanish, Portugese, Italian, German, and of course English! You can either watch the video above (which I suggest cause they have the BEST sense of humor) or check out their tips below: 1. Follow Famous YouTubers in the language you want to learn! There are tons of youtubers in other languages, and often if they are famous enough, there will be english subtitles. Listen to them to hear real people speaking the language rather than a text book! They're usually super entertaining too so it helps :) 2. Follow those YouTubers or famous people on twitter so you see that language each day! The easiest way to get used to a foreign language is to see it all the time and this really helps! 3. Change your phone/facebook/etc language to your desired language! Since you probably already know where everything is in your phone or facebook, you wont be confused and you'll learn a ton of new vocab! 4. Listen to audio books in the language you want!!! Audible has a ton of foreign language books. Try starting with a book you already know well (like Harry Potter for me - I'm trying to read that in Korean right now...) and listen throughout your day! 5. Sign up for foreign magazines or newsletters! Or even better download their app in another language! For example, my boyfriend gets push notification from Le Monde which is a french newspaper :) Even if you only read the headline, its practice. 6. Try cooking a meal using a recipe in a different language! You start to learn that a lot of words you actually already know (for example, sautΓ© means the same thing in french and in korean bokkeum (like bokkeumbap) means fried! so literally "fried rice!" 7. Watch TV shows in the language Duh!!!! 8. Talk to yourself and dont be afraid! Practice speaking whenever you can, even to people who are strangers! be brave! What languages are you trying to learn?!

We ignore the number zero since it is not thought to have its own vibrations. The bible and other ancient books faithfully represent the mystical meaning of numbers. We'll explore the universe of numbers and the impact they have on us and our lives. Get your free numerology report Numerology enables us to understand the messages of numbers, not only in their quantitative aspect, which is obvious at first glance, but also in their qualitative aspect, in which we recognize that behind each figure vibrates an energy that provides us with valuable psychological and spiritual guidance. Both mathematically and spiritually, numbers have meaning. In its most basic form, numerology is the link between a number and its mystical essence on both an individual and a collective level. The study of the numerical value of the alphabet is also known as numerology. Numerology is based on the concept that the cosmos is a system that can be divided into its basic parts, which are numbers. A numerologist may take many aspects of a person and split them into meaningful numbers using various ways by recognizing that everything in the world is based on numbers. These figures can assist us in better comprehending the world and ourselves as persons. Like many old ideologies, the origins of numerology and how it came to be so essential are a mystery. The first written records of numerology are claimed to have been discovered in Egypt and Babylon. Other ancient evidence may be found in Rome, Greece, China, and Japan. Everything vibrates or resonates at a specific frequency in life. Numbers are no exception since they govern life. When you consider how you would live without numbers, you will immediately conclude that it is impossible. Plant species with a specified number of leaves, flowers with a certain number of petals, and so on are all regulated by numbers.
What Do The Protests in Seoul Look Like Now?
This past Friday the Korean Constitutional Court (think of it as the US Supreme Court) ruled unanimously that Park Geun Hye should be officially impeached. Since most of the country wanted this (at her lowest I think she has a 10% approval rating) there were massive celebrations in the streets. There were musicians, free food stalls, and fireworks. Now of course there are plenty of (mostly elderly) people rioting and claiming that this is the end of democracy (when really its just an example of democracy working...) but they are in contained areas surrounded by police. As far as I know 2 people died and many more are injured but its been due to violence by the pro-Park side (for example, the rioters were trying to flip over a police bus and knocked over a speaker which fell and killed an elderly man who was part of the riot...) I walked through the celebration area the day after the announcement if you'd like to take a look and hear the sounds. Skip to 4:20 unless you want to see my friends new cafe opening party haha :) If you could all do me a really big favor: Please give this video a thumbs up on YouTube here. People have been leaving incredibly nasty comments targeting myself and my family (I have deleted and blocked most of them) and this video now has some of the most down-votes I've ever had on a video :/ That would really mean a lot! Thank you γ… γ…  Korea now has to vote for a new president so that will be starting as we speak :)

Translation I do not have a love life, but I know the feeling of love. I feel like a extremely lucky to have a sister who loves me immensely. So, my love is my keyboard and my blanket. Yes, it is very funny but I have a sense of warmth when I snugggle in to my blacket to watch Netflix or try a new song, I feel happy and safe. And that is what I feel whith my sister and parents. It is a beautiful feeling so I feel that every one has something that they like and what they feel about it is something that you are ment to feel with your on beloved.
I Was Stalked and Filmed on a Subway? :(
Recently I had a very creepy experience on the subway. A had a very odd man sit next to me and start filming me secretly (though obviously not so secretly since I noticed) He also tried to follow me but luckily I tricked him. For more info you can check the video below. **this is not common AT ALL in Korea, it only happened to me in Seoul because that's where I live. This could, and does, happen all over the world no matter what culture~** What I hope you take from this: 1. Be aware of your surroundings at all times. If someone sits next to you (even if it seems totally normal) just take a millisecond to recognize that - don't just stay zoned in on your phone. 2. If you feel uncomfortable - get up and move. I didn't do this but I should have. I didn't need to "prove" he really was creepy, regardless of if he was or not, I have every right to just move away. 3. If someone made you feel uncomfortable, trust your gut and keep an eye on them in some way. If I hadn't noticed him earlier, he might have followed me off the train without me knowing. 4. Let someone know where you are and what was up. Even if its just texting a close friend that is dependable "hey I'm at XYZ bus stop, there was a weird guy on the bus lol" just so someone knows. In case something happens to you, it could help people find you. 5. If you see something weird happening to another girl, try to do something. When I see guys getting too close to girls on crowded trains I always try to make it seem like I'm with the girl too so he's outnumbered, or I stare them down so they know they aren't being sneaky. Be safe out there everyone, and just be alert :)
