An Istanbul court cancelled a government plan to rebuild Taksim square, site of the recent anti-Erdogan protests. The court determined that the project committee had not evaluated all of its possible side effects. I wonder how this development will affect political opposition in Turkey? Image: NYT

What possible side effects are they concerned about? I may be politically dense but I can't see one

@goyo The courts were really concerned about environmental consequences. The protests, however, were for governmental liberalization. I saw your card about a mother's day shooting in new orleans. I go to university there, so those issues are really important to me. Have you ever been to NO?
