Today is a sad day for music fans across the globe as Billy Paul, the Grammy-winning soul singer of the 1970s hit "Me and Mrs. Jones," has died, a statement on his official website said. He was 80.
The song about an affair with the mysterious "Mrs. Jones" reached No. 1 and earned Paul the Grammy for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance in 1972.
That song is considered a CLASSIC for members in the r&b and blues community. Personally, I remember that song was in constant rotation on the radio.
Thank you for your musical contribution Mr. Paul. They just don't make songs like that anymore.
