In Korea, you have to say something before and after you eat...what is it!?

잘 먹겠습니다!

I will eat well!

(jal meok-kess-seum-ni-da)

잘 먹었습니다!

I ate well!

(jal meok-eoss-seum-ni-da)

Do you guys ever practice these phrases before you eat?

I use the Japanese equivalent before and after I eat. I never knew what the Korean one was but I do now thanks to your post so thank you. :)

I know the one in Japanese before you eat but I didn't know the one for Korean. It's interesting.
